Biskner and Wilken Visit Capitol Hill
October 01, 2014
Stevens Worldwide Van Lines President and COO, Joe Biskner, and Vice President of Government Traffic & Claims, Peggy Wilken, attended the AMSA’s Moving Day on the Hill event in Washington D.C. on Thursday September 18, in order to represent Stevens and discuss issues that are important to the moving and storage industry.
Among the topics discussed on Capitol Hill and in individual meetings with members of Congress were the National Safety and Operations Conference and AMSA’s Annual Education Conference and Expo. Presentations also included information on upcoming industry events, the annual AMSA awards and the “Hiring our Heroes” initiative, which helps military families get on their feet by assisting veterans in finding quality job prospects.
Other highlights from the day included Dave Hester of the A&E Network’s Storage Wars, who was also in attendance at the event, and served as an auctioneer for the 2014 auction. The Moving and Storage Institute has welcomed him back for the 2015 auction as well.
Stevens Worldwide Van Lines is committed to excellence for both our customers and our employees. Which is why it’s important for us to contribute to the continual improvement of the moving and storage industry, so that we may all enjoy its continued success.
Congratulations Chris – we all wish you continued success!
