SPRINGFIELD, VA, March 7, 2017 – InterstateGroup Holdings, Inc., parent company of Interstate Van Lines, Inc., one of the country’s largest independent moving companies, is pleased to announce the acquisition of American Red Ball World Wide Movers, one of the oldest household goods carriers in the United States. The joining of these two successful and enduring companies will enhance Interstate’s growth plans, as well as its capabilities to serve corporate, government and private customers.
Established in 1919 and based in Indianapolis, Indiana, American Red Ball, like Interstate, focuses on delivering a personalized customer experience. As the two companies come together, operations will continue in both Springfield, Virginia, and Indianapolis, Indiana, capitalizing on the strength of the teams in both locations while increasing Interstate’s footprint and revenue sources. Specifically, Interstate will acquire American Red Ball’s national operations and agency network. American Red Ball’s international forwarding and local moving and storage business will be operated independently.
