Ed began his mobility career with Corrigan Moving Systems in Auburn Hills Michigan. While working his way through college he worked as a driver’s helper and packer then became a crew leader driver. In 1990 he transferred to Flint Michigan and started selling residential and office moving services in mid-Michigan. In 1994, still with Corrigan Ed was promoted and asked to run the Midland Michigan branch. As the leader of Corrigan Midland, Ed and his team managed 2 of the company’s largest accounts, Dow Chemical and Dow Corning Corporation. Corrigan Midland serviced over 250 domestic and 100 international relocations annually for Dow and Dow Corning. He was the direct contact for all International business. Ed also served his community as a board member for the Midland Chamber of Commerce, Campfire Boys and Girls Club and the American Heart Association.
In 2000 Ed was hired by Morrie Stevens of Stevens Worldwide Van Lines to run 8 moving and storage locations in Michigan and Ohio. In this role he was responsible for overall performance of each location, the overall direction of sales and marketing and the driver recruiting department. Stevens Van Lines experienced steady growth and marketable improvements in quality during his 4 plus years at Stevens Worldwide.He developed from scratch a new Steven’s company, Stevens Records Management which today operates 3 locations in Michigan and Ohio.
In the fall of 2004 Ed joined Chipman Relocations on the west coast. In this role he is responsible for managing the direction of 40 sales people in 3 states. Ed is also directly responsible for Chipman International and served on the executive committee. Ed was also an active member of the Bay Area IFMA Chapter.
In October 2009 Ed rejoined Stevens Worldwide Van Lines as the Vice President of Marketing. In this role he will drive the overall marketing direction of the Van Line.
Ed was promoted to Vice President of Relocation Services in November 2011. He continued to oversee the direction of Stevens Marketing and all company owned stores including Focus Logistics, a Full service FF & E company until March of 2015.
In March of 2015 the West Coast called him back. Currently Ed is Vice President of Chipman United Van lines in Sacramento California.
