Northern California is row after row of grapevines. Wineries are like grocery stores, one on every corner. We are headed for Sonoma, CA., for a three day getaway.
We have reservations at Bungalow 313, La Luna. Little cottages that are based in downtown Sonoma but, hidden and quiet. They are close to restaurants and boutiques, and are centralized enough to the numerous wineries we want to see. We don’t do samplings at all the wineries; I like to be somewhat coherent by dinner.
Sometimes we just like to see the buildings, the operations, or the architecture. We plan to see BR Cohn, Kunde, and Madrone (used to be Valley of the Moon).
My favorite wine of the day was made by Madrone, a Barbera.
