TROY (CBS Detroit) – Automation Alley launched a new program Monday aimed at accelerating the growth of small businesses and startups across Southeast Michigan.
The Automation Alley 7Cs program – which has an emphasis on advanced manufacturing startups in the idea stage or later – guides entrepreneurs through a customized seven-step process that starts with the conception of their technology and leads to commercialization, the technology business association stated.
“The Automation Alley 7Cs program is the first of its kind in Michigan. We believe it’s going to be transformational in terms of its impact on the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Southeast Michigan,” said Tom Kelly, Automation Alley director of entrepreneurship, in a release. “We saw a need in the ecosystem for an entrepreneurship program specifically focused on advanced manufacturing technology.
